Hockney

Nicole: This picture, I think could have come out a lot better than it did. I don't think it came out very well because of the pictures I decided to use and because of the light reflecting on her skin. It made her skin tones different shades, and it was difficult to curve the colors to make them all match up, or close to it. Overall, I don't believe that this picture was my best work.
Ocean View: I really like how this landscape came out. I like how the sky and clouds look like they deserve to be where they ended up. My only problem with this picture was doing the sky above the bridge. It was difficult for me to fix the sky because of the shape of the bridge. But overall, I think the picture came out successful.

  1. Both are very well done. The waterfront is exposed currectly and makes for a nice composition with the rule of thirds very obvious. Nice shot! Your portrait is clear and focused which is hard to maintain when shooting macro. You achieved lots of detail as Hockney would have, but we need more chin to create a complete piece, I would have like more and more layers.
