Surreal Montage

When I was planning out how I wanted to portray this photo, I decided that I wanted to do something where I had angel wings because I love angels wings. Next, I wanted to do something surreal with it, and have myself back to back; one being an angel, one being Satan or the devil. In the background, I had originally planned to have clouds in the background which would symbolize heaven, but then have fire to symbolize hell. But through the process, I decided to change it and just use the same picture of clouds twice, but just mess with the coloring on the hell background. With the quote, "I believe there is an angel inside me whom I am constantly shocking," by Jean Cocteau, I felt like it fit perfect for this picture. When I first read the quote, I thought about it in a negative way; such as "shocking" the angel inside me by doing bad or evil things, which is where the idea of the devil comes from as well. Overall, I believe it came out pretty successful except I think I could've taken a little bit more time working on the right side of the photo.

  1. I really do like your ide. It's interesting too. The picture came out to be successful and your concept about this picture showed what you mean about it. i like how you played around with the right side and made it look like the clouds are red. The only thing that caught my eye was the right side of the picture, it was obvious that you didnt cut yourself out of the picture properly but overall , i think you did a great job:)
